Beginning the day after Thanksgiving, join us for an evening train ride around our festively decorated, one-mile track. Magical scenes and tens of thousands of lights will captivate you and your family, and set the mood for a wonderful Holiday season.

Yes, the Holiday Light Festival Ride will run from Friday, November 26th 2021 until January 7th, 2022. It will run every night weather permitting EXCEPT December 24th, 25th, and 31st (weather permitting).
Griffith Park & Southern Railroad, at 4400 Crystal Springs Drive in Griffith Park.
It begins Nov. 26th and continues every night weather permitting until January 7, 2022; except December 24, 25 and 31.
The first train leaves at 5pm every night. Monday – Thursday the last train leaves at 8pm. Friday – Sunday the last train leaves at 9pm.
The train ride takes passengers on our mile-long loop at Griffith Park & Southern Railroad where we have decorated with thousands of holiday lights. The ride is approximately 10 minutes.
We stop selling tickets when we reach maximum capacity, which is based on crowd size, or if the weather does not allow us to safely operate.
We will only give refunds when we have to close due to weather. You can exchange tickets for different dates at our ticket booth.
Yes. The tickets for the Holiday Light Festival Ride can be purchased for specific dates at our ticket booth at Griffith Park & Southern Railroad. There are no online or telephone sales. Tickets are now available for purchase.
This event requires separate tickets that can be bought at the ticket booth in advance or the day of the ride, if available. No online sales for this event.
Holiday Train Tickets $5 per person (all ages).
Unfortunately, Santa will not be present.
There will be an area with holiday-themed backdrops available for $2.
We stop selling tickets based on crowd size because we do have a maximum capacity.
